About the vacancy

As Sales Engineer, you will not only take over from a seasoned colleague who is retiring next year, but you will also become the linchpin in our success story. Based on specifications, you will perform accurate calculations for various electrical installations, such as switchboards, cabinets and cable lengths. In the process, you will estimate the materials and costs required, and you will provide this valuable input to our Proposal team. Approximately 80% of your time will be spent on exciting new construction projects.
In this role you will maintain close contact with our valued customers, the shipyards where the yachts get their shine, and our internal Sales, Purchasing and Logistics departments. You will also be part of a dynamic and experienced team of 8 professionals and will be under the direct supervision of the Commercial Director Yachts.

The client is a systems integrator within the maritime sector. They focus on luxury yachts and naval vessels of Defense, among others. Services consist of turnkey projects. So they offer trajectories from A to Z. This means they can be involved from R&D to commissioning.

Tasks and activities

  • Taking over knowledge of the departing colleague;
  • Perform calculations for electrical installations;
  • Determining materials and costs;
  • Working together with the proposal team;
  • Maintaining contact with customers and internal departments.

Job requirements

  • HBO Working and thinking level;
  • At least 4 years of experience in a project and service oriented environment;
  • Experience with electrical installations;
  • Knowledge of the maritime industry is a plus.
