In this position as R&D Support Engineer DC chargers you will support the global service team with various tasks in the field of DC charging. You offer advice on electrical and/or mechanical challenges based on data from cloud-connected service systems and you play an active role in R&D projects for the development of new features. The ideal candidate has an HBO/WO bachelor's or masters degree in the field of electrical engineering or energy engineering and is looking for a challenging job in which he/she can apply his/her engineering skills .

The client is active in the world of total solutions for charging electric vehicles. These include high-quality AC Wallboxes for the home, as well as DC fast charging stations with stable connectivity. In the coming years, electric charging will become increasingly important to increase emission-free mobility for everyone.

Tasks and activities

  • Support the global service team in various tasks related to DC charging;
  • Support local and regional e-mobility service organisations in countries around the world in resolving their case escalations;
  • Support customers in their ability to operate charging sites and networks;
  • Provide advice on electrical or mechanical issues based on data from cloud connected service systems;
  • Support the roll-out of software Closely monitor performance of chargersAct as an expert. Be the knowledge base and maintain solutions for local service teams;
  • Suggest improvements to the DC Charging systems;
  • Help improve and maintain the knowledge base. Write instructions and manuals to inform and train our local service staff.

Job requirements

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, e.g. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or IT;
  • Experience with electrical installations will be considered as an assetYou are interested in working with Electric Vehicle charging systems 20kW- 500 kW for the mobility of the future;
  • Affinity with or knowledge of Linux systems and software development;
  • You are able to work independently and proactivelyYou are eager to learn and willing to develop technical skills within this area;
  • You have good communication skills towards both external and internal parties;
  • You have knowledge of the English language both verbally and in writing;
  • Willing to travel if the occasion requires.
