Quality assurance and control in construction management

Quality assurance and quality control are key tasks within construction management. As a technical discipline, they are responsible for compliance with the specifications and guidelines throughout the entire course of a construction project.
QA/QC in construction projects in Oil, Gas and Petrochemistry
Within the scope of a construction project, the QA/QC engineer is involved all the way from the conceptual design to the handover. In the basic engineering phase, he or she ensures that all documents are released for construction and the requirements of the quality management package are fully implemented.
To this end, the QA/QC engineer develops an audit plan for internal and (sub)contractors, checks the specifications/certificates of materials and equipment, develops inspection and testing plans, carries out non-destructive tests for materials testing (NDE, NDT), monitors compliance with quality regulations, norms and standards, and draws up corresponding (non-) conformity reports.
